Thyroid Madness - An Update
Remember my thyroid warrior? Read on to hear how she is doing:
The words hung in the air, heavy with frustration and desperation: “I know this is not all in my head — why won’t anyone help me?” These were the first words my new warrior said as tears flowed, emotions she’d held back for far too long now spilling out. Her story unraveled in layers, each one revealing the toll her unresolved thyroid condition had taken on her life.
This momma was not giving up—she was not going to go down without a fight. She knew there had to be another answer to her thyroid condition and the sudden onset of her supraventricular tachycardia. As soon as we had our follow-up and identified the potential culprit, this warrior took immediate action. She got out of her moldy home the very day we discovered it was likely contributing to her intensification reaction from the new binders. She got rid of porous belongings, unwilling to let anything hold onto the toxins that were making her sick. With her two little ones in tow, she moved into a brand-new apartment—a safe space where healing could finally begin.
But she didn’t stop there. She committed to making the 90-minute drive for IV therapy every single week until she felt better, trusting that she was on the right path. And guess what? The heart palpitations disappeared. The anxiety that had gripped her so tightly? Significantly more controlled. This momma bear was reclaiming her health.
A small setback came when she caught the dreaded GI bug that had been going around. It’s common for symptoms to resurface after an immune system hit, but this time, she didn’t unravel. She used her tools—breathing exercises, the Gupta program, and her carefully curated regimen of supplements and binders. She weathered the storm with resilience, knowing that every step she took was a step toward long-term healing.
She faced one of the hardest truths about healing—an intensification reaction can make everything worse while still having exposure. It’s like trying to climb out of quicksand while someone is still throwing more sand on top of you. But this warrior, despite feeling worse before she felt better, never backed down. She trusted the process, leaned into her treatment, and held onto hope even when her body felt like it was betraying her.
Now that she is healing, she wants to make sure that everyone she loves is healing too. She is researching ways to help her 3-year-old purge mold toxins from his young body, determined to give him the best chance at long-term wellness. And next up—she will encourage her husband to look into root cause healing because she wants all of them to live their best lives. Her healing is no longer just about herself; it’s about transforming her family’s health for generations to come.
