Healing Against The Odds…From Bedbound to Toes Wiggling
🌿 Healing Against the Odds: From Bedbound to Toe Wiggles 🌿
There are moments in medicine that steal your breath, moments so powerful that they remind you why you do what you do. Today, one of those moments happened: a warrior on her healing journey told me, through tears and joy, “For the first time in three years, I can wiggle my toes.”
This was after her very first EBOO (Extracorporeal Blood Oxygenation and Ozonation) session.
From Bedbound to Battling Back
When this brave soul walked into our center two years ago, she was barely able to move. A mother to a brand new baby, she spent most days in bed, robbed of the joys of early motherhood. Her body felt frozen, riddled with pain, and inflamed from head to toe. Had she pursued conventional care, she might have received a grim diagnosis—perhaps something progressive, autoimmune, and life-limiting. She might have been told she had five years to live.
But instead, she chose a different path.
The Mystery Unfolds
Her decline began soon after moving into an older home in the summer of 2021. Her joints stiffened until she could barely move. Fevers arrived every night. Her voice disappeared for months. And she lived through it all—silent, suffering, and searching for answers.
She suspected Lyme disease and made progress with a knowledgeable practitioner. But her body continued to rebel. She intuitively knew something deeper was happening. When she finally moved out of the home, it became clear: mold was at the root of it all.
A Fierce Commitment to Healing
She came to us already a fighter—on supplements, aware of her needs, and deeply committed to holistic healing. Her diet evolved: she let go of beloved foods like dairy when they caused flares, and began juicing again. She opened herself to new modalities like PEMF and EBOO. Every piece of the puzzle brought her closer to the truth of what her body needed.
Even with limitations—swollen hands, stiff joints, waves of emotional overwhelm—she refused to give up. She showed up. Over and over again.
Celebrating Small Miracles
Today, after just one EBOO session, she felt something she hadn’t felt in years: connection. Movement. Hope. The ability to wiggle her toes. A seemingly small act—but in the context of her journey, a profound victory.
It reminded her, and all of us, that healing doesn’t always come in a straight line. It’s often two steps forward, one step back. But each step, no matter how small, is worth celebrating.
The Journey is Ongoing
This warrior still faces days when her symptoms flare. Her hands still ache. Her knees bend at difficult angles. But her energy is rising. Her sleep has improved. Her digestion is returning. She’s eating again. She’s gaining weight. She’s laughing with her children. She’s living.
And most of all—she is not dying. She is thriving.
A Message to Fellow Warriors
If you’ve been told that nothing is wrong with you… If you’ve been dismissed, misdiagnosed, or made to feel crazy… If you are barely holding on…
Please know: there is another way.
Healing is possible. Hope is real. And even the smallest victories—like wiggling your toes—can signal the start of a whole new life.
