Science Plus Energetics - Dr. Simon Yu

When Science Meets Energetics: Our Training in Acupuncture Meridian Analysis with Dr. Simon Yu

This past week, Gio and I spent four intense days in St. Louis immersed in advanced training with Dr. Simon Yu — learning a fascinating approach to understanding where stress and energetic blockages are affecting the body.

The training focused on Acupuncture Meridian Analysis (AMA) — a system designed to evaluate how different stressors may interfere with the body’s energetic pathways and overall healing capacity.

At its core, AMA asks a very important question:

👉 Where is the body losing energy… and why?

Because when the body is under chronic stress — whether from infections, parasites, toxins, dental issues, inflammation, scars, emotional trauma, or environmental exposures — it begins to compensate.

And eventually…

It runs out of reserve.

The Goal: Restore Balance & Optimize Energetics

The training centered around evaluating the body through:

  • The 40 acupuncture meridian points

  • BioScan technology

  • Organ energetics

  • Nervous system stress patterns

  • Energetic interference testing

The concept is incredibly interesting:

Every stressor places a demand on the body.

And if we can identify:

  • WHAT is stressing the system

  • WHERE the energetic imbalance exists

  • and HOW to support the body more effectively

…the body may be able to heal more efficiently.

Our Personal Evaluation with Dr. Yu

Before the conference officially began, Gio and I each had a detailed evaluation with Dr. Yu on Wednesday.

And honestly?

The results were eye-opening.

One of the major stressors identified for both of us was:

Parasites.

Now before everyone panics…

Parasites are much more common than many people realize — especially in individuals with:

  • Chronic inflammation

  • Gut dysfunction

  • Mold illness

  • Lyme disease

  • Immune dysregulation

  • Extensive travel history

According to our AMA evaluation, parasitic burden appeared to be creating a significant energetic drain on both of our systems.

So What Happens Next?

We are both beginning structured parasite-cleansing protocols.

These are physician-guided approaches intended to reduce parasitic burden while supporting detoxification and drainage pathways.

My Protocol

3 weeks ON:

  • 5 antiparasitic medications

1 week OFF:

  • Gallbladder + liver support/cleansing

Total:

  • 3 cycles

Gio’s Protocol

2 weeks ON:

  • Antiparasitic medications

2 weeks OFF:

  • Recovery + drainage support

Total:

  • 6 cycles

Simplifying the Healing Process

One of the biggest lessons in complex chronic illness is this:

You cannot do everything at once.

During this process, we will intentionally:

  • Hold other protocols

  • Pause nonessential supplements

  • Reduce treatment layering

Because sometimes adding too many therapies creates additional stress instead of healing.

Sometimes healing requires:

  • space

  • focus

  • and allowing the body to prioritize.

Dental Stress & Cavitations

Another major focus of this work is understanding how hidden dental issues may affect whole-body health and energetics.

After completing these parasite protocols, we will return for re-evaluation to determine whether additional work is needed regarding:

  • Dental cavitations

  • Chronic jaw inflammation

  • Retained infections

  • Metal interference

One immediate step:

👉 Gio will be removing his metal retainer with our incredible biological dentist.

Because even small, chronic stressors can affect the body over time.

The Most Inspiring Part

One of the best parts of this training was the people in the room.

There were:

  • Physicians

  • Dentists

  • Nurse Practitioners

  • Hygienists

  • Healthcare practitioners from across the country

All gathered for the same reason:

To learn more ways to help patients heal.

Not by abandoning science.

But by expanding how we think about the body.

By recognizing that healing is:

  • structural

  • biochemical

  • neurological

  • emotional

  • and energetic all at the same time.

The Future of Medicine

I truly believe the future of medicine is the merging of:

  • physiology

  • nervous system regulation

  • mitochondrial health

  • environmental medicine

  • and body energetics

Because patients are not just lab values.

They are dynamic, complex human beings.

And sometimes the missing piece is not louder treatment…

It’s identifying the hidden stressor quietly draining the system every single day.

We are excited to continue integrating what we learned into our work at TLC and to keep expanding the ways we help our warriors heal.

And as always…

We test these things on ourselves first.
