Iron Woman Within…

🌿 Mold Warrior Spotlight: “The Iron Woman Within”

She grew up a tough ranch girl — cleaning barns, baling hay with a mask on, and enduring asthma attacks that began at age five. From the earliest days, her body fought to keep up, while her spirit refused to quit. She went on to become a competitive swimmer, triathlete, and even conquered Iron Man races, all while hiding the silent war raging within her.

In 2004, a virus struck her nervous system, paralyzing her long thoracic nerve. Just two years later, a benign tumor formed in her jaw. Yet she pressed on. Not just as an athlete, but as a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA), quietly battling symptoms while caring for others in the surgical suite.

Then came COVID. Once again, her body was ambushed — this time with long-haul symptoms that stole her stamina, her words, her memory, and her ability to recover. She worked through vertigo, word-finding difficulties, migraines, and a crushing fatigue that demanded naps just to get through the day. Even public speaking — once a strength — became unimaginable.

And still, she kept showing up for her patients.

Through it all — raising a daughter, managing her father's ranch and cancer care, navigating complex family dynamics, and losing her mother — she gave what little energy she had to those she loved. She was awarded a Daisy Award… and fired a few weeks later. Still, she did not give up.

Her body cried out for answers. So she searched. And searched. And finally… she found TLC – The Lyday Center.

Here, she discovered the root cause behind the years of symptoms: mold toxicity, compounded by viral injury, environmental stress, and a long history of under-addressed trauma and exposure. And for the first time, things started to make sense.

Her treatment plan is now holistic, honoring her body’s needs and her mind’s resilience. She’s begun to reclaim her cognition, her energy, and perhaps most importantly — her hope.

This warrior isn’t just surviving. She’s redefining what healing looks like. 💪💚
