Today We Celebrate Freedom

🇺🇸 The 4th of July… or in true Chicago fashion—the 3rd. 🇺🇸

This day brings back so many memories.

Or really… the 3rd of July, because that’s how we did it.

My dad was SO into the 4th you would have thought he served in the military.
But he didn’t.

He just loved this country… deeply.

Red, white, and blue was basically his uniform all summer—but on the 3rd?
All bets were off.

Every year growing up, we had our tradition:

✨ Taste of Chicago with our core group
✨ Out-of-town guests filling the house
✨ My high school besties and chosen family all together

We’d eat our faces off for hours…
Then head back to the yacht club to get “pretty” for the night.

And what a night it was:

🍸 Adult beverages flowing (SKYY vodka was a staple)
🍽️ A full buffet we tried to eat despite already being stuffed
🎆 The BEST fireworks display—front row, two tables deep

We’d sit there—full, happy, surrounded by our people—watching America light up the sky.

And my dad?

He was in his element.

His country.
His people.
His moment.

I can’t help but feel nostalgic today.

And overwhelmingly grateful.

Grateful to have been born in the land of the free because of the brave.
Grateful to be a woman who owns a business—something that, in other parts of the world, wouldn’t just be discouraged… it could be punished.
Grateful that I’ve never questioned stepping into my power.

Today I give thanks:

❤️ To those who gave their lives for our freedom
❤️ To the troops who still protect us so we can sleep peacefully
❤️ To the strong women who paved the way
❤️ To my parents—for showing me how to live fully and love deeply

And yes…

I still wonder who decided fireworks = patriotism 😂

These days, celebration looks a little different for Gio and me:

☕ Sleeping in (no alarm)
🚗 Starbucks delivered… because we can
🧊 Cold plunge to wake up
🔥 Sauna reset
🌿 A walk in nature
🫁 HBOT session
🎆 Then ending the night with friends watching the sky light up

However you celebrate…

I hope it fills your cup.
I hope it reminds you how lucky we are.
And I hope you take a moment to feel it all.

🇺🇸 Freedom. Gratitude. Family. Love.

Happy 4th. ❤️🤍💙

I LOVE YOU!
